Teaching rooms designed for use with interactive A/V links should have:
- High quality projection of live image to give students a feel of attending the room in which the procedure is taking place. All images in the procedure room can be displayed on screen
- High quality two-way sound equipment for natural conversation
- Touch panel control to allow moderator to decide which room to link to, change from one room to another instantly, select images from the clinical room, control remote cameras in the clinical room and control a picture in picture mixer for simultaneous imaging of any two sources in the clinical room
- Integration of PACS and patient data systems
Videoconferencing
Teaching rooms can have integral videoconferencing to allow a moderator to work with and local and remote audience. The touch panel allows a remote location to join a session and participate in the procedure demonstration and the teaching.
